Self-Employed Experienced Builder

£190 per day | Regular ongoing work available | Sheffield & surrounding areas

LABS is looking for an experienced self-employed builder to work with us across a range of domestic building projects in Sheffield and the surrounding areas.

We specialise in structural waterproofing, basement conversions and damp-proofing, alongside associated structural and general building works.

We have a strong pipeline of work and are looking for reliable, experienced tradespeople who can work with us on either a shorter-term basis or as part of an ongoing working relationship.

The Role

The work is varied and goes well beyond straightforward bricklaying. Depending on the project, works may include:

• Bricklaying and blockwork
• Forming structural openings
• Installation and retrofitting of structural steels
• General structural and domestic building work
• Working from architectural and structural drawings and specifications
• Working alongside our existing site team and other trades

We are looking for someone who can work to a high standard, use their own initiative and confidently deal with the varied nature of domestic renovation and structural work.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in domestic building and construction
• Competent bricklaying and blockwork skills
• Experience with structural openings and steelwork
• Ability to understand and work from technical drawings
• Own tools and transport
• Reliable, professional and able to work to a high standard
• Relevant trade qualifications and/or substantial practical experience
