Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Damp and Mould Disrepair Manager to oversee and coordinate projects related to damp, mould, and associated structural issues within residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teams, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and delivering effective repair solutions. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent organisational skills to ensure timely and efficient project completion. The position offers an opportunity to lead specialised maintenance operations with a focus on mould remediation and damp prevention.

Duties

• Lead and supervise teams engaged in damp and mould repair projects, ensuring high standards of work quality and safety compliance.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting considerations.
• Oversee the assessment of property conditions, identifying causes of dampness and mould growth through detailed inspections.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution from inception to completion.
• Utilise schematic diagrams and technical drawings to guide repair processes effectively.
• Manage the utilisation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) where applicable for automation or monitoring purposes during maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports on project status, technical findings, and recommended remedial actions.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all works undertaken, including schematics, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Provide leadership in training team members on specialised repair techniques related to damp proofing, mould removal, electrical systems, or mechanical components involved in disrepair management.

Experience

• Proven management experience within property maintenance or specialised disrepair sectors involving dampness or mould issues.
• Strong background in project management with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, schematics interpretation, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in a construction or maintenance environment.
• Mechanical knowledge related to building structures and repair techniques for damp proofing and mould remediation.
• Experience in conducting assessments using schematics and technical drawings to inform repair strategies.
• Familiarity with health & safety regulations relevant to property maintenance work in the UK.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage resources efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality control.
• Fluency in English is essential for effective communication across teams and with clients.
