Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Damp Proofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and building maintenance, with a focus on damp proofing techniques. This role involves working on various properties to prevent moisture ingress and ensure the integrity of structures. The Damp Proofer will be responsible for applying damp proofing materials and techniques, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess properties for signs of dampness and moisture issues.
• Apply damp proofing treatments using appropriate materials and methods.
• Utilise masonry skills to repair and prepare surfaces for treatment.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Conduct heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

• Proven experience in damp proofing or related construction fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with masonry, joinery, and fabrication techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to plumb accurately and assemble various components as needed.
• Experience using both power tools and hand tools effectively.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the workday.
• A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £100.00-£250.00 per day
