Tillie's School of Performing Arts are looking to expand our fantastic teaching team. We are looking for a passionate, dynamic teacher who share our values.
Dance Teacher:
IDTA Syllabus, full training provided on this syllabus if required
We spend roughly 6 months on syllabus and exam work, and 5 months on choreographing show routines for our annual dance show.
£25-£30 per hour
Starting September
We are looking to expand our dance teaching team as the genre is growing within our school. Hours currently available are Tuesdays from 4.15pm-6.15pm in Ballet, jazz and private lessons and Wednesdays from 4pm in ballet and jazz.
All Roles:
-Complete daily administrative tasks as needed such as completing attendance and distributing letters and information to the students.
-Work collaboratively as part of the whole TSPA teaching team to ensure consistent expectations across the board.
-Communicate fully both positive progress and concerns to the school Principal.
-Support your students and the school during performance days, exam days and extra rehearsals.
-Represent the schools ethos through all you do and lead by example.
-Attend planning meetings with the teaching team to set our focus for the term ahead.
-Check your Trello each work day and respond or action accordingly.
-Communicate professionally with students and their parents/guardians, including face to face and via email where needed.
-Look for opportunities for Continued Professional Development (CPD) and bring these to the Principals attention.
Skills Required:
-Minimum age of 18
-Current Enhanced DBS (we can help you with this if needed)
-Dance teaching qualification
-Experience working with children
-Experience in and passion for dance
-Confidence in working with small groups
-Excellent verbal communication skills
-Boundless enthusiasm & energy
Skills Desirable:
-Own car and license
-First Aid qualification
