Full job description

We are seeking a passionate and caring dance teaching assistant to join our busy children's dance school, The Little Dance Academy, Walthamstow. Our dance school provides classes to children aged between 18 months and 8 years.

At The Little Dance Academy, we strive to inspire our dancers in a nurturing and warm environment, creating a community where children can grow and learn through the art of dance. We provide imaginative classes with an emphasis on fun, and aim to foster a love of dance in all of our students.

We are looking for someone with a warm and caring nature who believes in creating a positive and happy dance community where every child matters. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:

  • Creative and passionate! You are passionate about dance, sparkles, magic and all things The Nutcracker!
  • Bubbly and imaginative! You have bundles of patience, energy, and confidence to deliver our lesson plans and a willingness to learn!
  • Fun & playful! You don't take yourself too seriously and can fly around the room like a butterfly or stomp around like a dinosaur with ease!

Responsibilities:

As a dance teaching assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the teacher to ensure the smooth running of all classes, greeting and interacting with parents and students, and ensuring each little dancer leaves class with a smile!

Hours available:

We currently have the following hours available:

Saturday 10.00am - 11.30am .

More hours will be available in the future for the right person, and we could also offer more work through holiday camps and cover work.

Availability:

The ideal person would be keen to have ongoing involvement in our studio and will be looking for a long-term role. Please do not apply if you are looking for a short-term role.
