As a BI Developer, you will play a vital role in enhancing our business intelligence capabilities by developing and maintaining data solutions that support informed decision-making across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, has a passion for turning data into actionable insights, and thrives on delivering high-quality reporting and analysis.
Who are Trust Alliance Group?

- Working towards establishing Data Experts within the departments that you are engaged with
- Acting as a trusted consultant to stakeholders and external partners, including regulators and government bodies
- Developing actionable, high-impact dashboards and reports, leveraging both internal and third-party data
- Reporting on data quality and process consistency via our Fabric Lakehouse and creating control and exception dashboards to proactively manage data integrity.
- Supporting the evolution of our federated data model, contributing to a decentralised yet aligned approach that balances autonomy and standards.
- Collaborating with internal and external customers to identify opportunities to improve process and decision making.
- Contributing to agile and waterfall project delivery via task and project management systems, while maintaining clear documentation and sharing best practices across the team.
- Mentoring colleagues and supporting the growth of a high-performing Data Team
- Leading research into emerging BI platforms and technologies and working towards certifications and accreditations aligned with establishing a Data Centre of Excellence.
- Continuously seeking out new ways to add value through data, with a commercial mindset, objectivity, and a drive for excellence.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft BI Stack
- The ability to interpret, transform, and visualise data in ways that bring clarity and focus to decision-making
- A solid understanding of data modelling concepts, supporting scalable, efficient structures that we can build on as our data estate evolves.
- Awareness of data governance, quality, and compliance principles recognising the importance of trust in the numbers we surface.
- Strong Excel skills for quick-turnaround analysis, including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts to supplement longer-term reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with the concept of row and column-level approaches to data access.
- Ability to analyse business challenges and communicate clear, strategic solution options to stakeholders
- Proficiency in Power BI — from data shaping to dashboard publication — with an appetite to keep pushing the platform further.
