Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish on various projects. The successful applicant will be able to communicate effectively in English and possess a valid driving licence to travel to different job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
  • Select and mix colours according to specifications or client preferences.
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within the agreed timeframe.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any issues promptly.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on progress.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while on site.

Skills

  • Proficient in painting techniques and knowledge of various materials and finishes.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
  • Valid driving licence is essential for travelling between job locations.
  • Previous experience in painting and decorating is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key.
