Job Title: Void Property Contractor

Nicholson Group , an award winning landlord and developer with over 250 properties, are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work to timescales to transform void properties once a resident has moved out to a modern beautiful home. The properties are located in St Helens and Liverpool. Own transportation is advantageous but not paramount.

The role includes:

· Painting walls with chosen paint and glossing woodwork;

· Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint

· Apply silicone to bathroom fittings and kitchen worktops;

· Preparing, sanding and filling damaged walls and woodwork

· Caulking and sealing window frames

· Changing bulbs as necessary

· Taping up of fascias to avoid paint spills

· Arranging furniture

· Dust sheeting to prevent paint splashes on flooring

· General snagging

· Following a work matrix of issues

· Removing and reinstalling blinds

· Grouting bathroom and kitchen areas

• Preparing the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
• Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
• Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project
• Removing fixtures such as door knobs and light switch covers
• Taping off areas as needed
• Choosing and purchasing paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors
• Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete

Experience in this field is advantageous whether working for a painting and decorating company/self employed or for a letting agent/landlord.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
