POSITION TITLE: Painter/Decorator - Entry level

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual for an entry-level Painter and Decorator position, ideal for a young candidate looking to start their career in this field. This junior role is perfect for someone eager to learn and develop their skills, with the opportunity to undertake further qualifications.

The role also involves traveling to various sites including domestic and office environments, to work on a variety of improvement and decorating projects, providing a quality high end finish on all. Occasional general repair works, including filling, priming, and painting, may be required on doors either on or off site.

PAY: NMW (to be discussed depending on experience)
CONTRACTED HOURS: 40 Hours per week, Monday - Friday. Flexibility required meeting customer demand.

CONTRACTED TERM: Permanent

REPORTING TO: Senior Decorator

NUMBER OF REPORTS: 0

LOCATION: Great Bridge ( You will be required to travel to other sites across the UK on an ad-hoc basis)

ENVIRONMENT: Demanding rapid response manufacturing site, office, and/or domestic environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

· Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and to the highest possible standard

· Travel to various locations across the UK, depending upon customer demand

· Assess and complete repair works on damaged products

· Work with multiple tools and techniques

· Complete repairs including routering, surface preparation, and filing

· Scratch removal and polishing

· Removal and refitting of hinges and other related items

· Complete decorating works such as sanding and painting

· Complete improvement project to highest standard

· Liaise with customers onsite

· Manage relevant documentation

· Capable of working in a team and individually

· Occasional overnight stays maybe required to meet demand and deadlines

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Previous painting/decorating experience [Desirable]
• Minimum of 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at Grade “C” or above including Maths and English [Essential]
• NVQ Level 2 [Desirable]
• CSCS Card [Essential]
• Full and clean UK drivers licence [Essential]
