We have the perfect opportunity for you to join us and develop new skills with our large team of skilled tradesmen. We are one of the largest privately owned and managed painting and maintenance contractors in the UK and have been trading since 1899. We are looking for the applicant to gain varied site experience initially covering basic painting and pre-decorating preparation skills with a view to gaining a trade in the field of painting & decorating. Our work covers large scale Cyclical Redecoration Contracts of housing stock across Sittingbourne, Kent and the South East area.
We are currently looking for an Apprentice Painter who is hard working, reliable and willing to learn to paint and decorate. The ideal candidate would be someone who likes to work somewhere different each day, and who enjoys seeing the improvement a great decorator can make to any property. The successful applicant will be completing a three year apprenticeship to NVQ Level 2 whilst working on site for four days a week, working on all the skills required to achieve their qualification, they will be washing down and preparing various surfaces for painting and painting various surfaces, they will also be attending college for one day a week. The role does not require any experience as full training will be given.
Principle Duties: -
You will be washing down various surfaces.
You will be preparing various surfaces for painting.
You will be applying paint to various different surfaces
You will be applying paint to fencing.
You will be maintaining a record of the various types of work completed to achieve an NVQ
Confident communicating with other colleagues / contractors.
Good organisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work individually and effectively as part of a team.
Excellent Listener who is able to follow instructions.
Willing to accept constructive criticism in order to aid improving skills.
An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Apprentice Pay for first year £250.00 per week, increasing at the start of your 2nd year and again on completion of your NVQ Level 2.
Hours of work Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm
