Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to undertake a broad range of construction, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair activities across residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will possess all-round general building experience gained within the construction industry and be capable of delivering high-quality workmanship with minimal supervision.
The work will vary from week to week but generally involves:
- Groundworks
- Masonry and brickwork
- Plastering and rendering
- Wall and floor tiling
- Carpentry and joinery
Key Responsibilities
Groundworks
- Excavation and preparation of foundations, footings, and drainage systems.
- Installation of drainage, soakaways, ducts, and underground services.
- Site preparation, levelling, concreting, and paving works.
- Construction of pathways, driveways, kerbs, and external hard landscaping features.
Masonry and Brickwork
- Construction, repair, and alteration of brick, block, and stone structures.
- Installation of retaining walls, garden walls, and structural masonry elements.
- Pointing, repointing, and remedial masonry repairs.
- Interpretation of drawings and specifications to ensure accurate construction.
Plastering and Rendering
- Internal plastering, skimming, patch repairs, and finishing works.
- Application of render systems and external finishes.
- Surface preparation and remedial works to walls and ceilings.
- Ensuring high-quality finishes ready for decoration.
Wall and Floor Tiling
- Preparation and levelling of surfaces.
- Installation of ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and specialist tiling systems.
- Grouting, sealing, and finishing works.
- Accurate setting out and cutting to achieve professional finishes.
Carpentry and Joinery
- Installation and repair of doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, and flooring.
- Construction of timber structures and stud partitions.
- Fitting kitchens, cabinetry, and built-in furniture.
- First-fix and second-fix carpentry activities.
General Duties
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work schedules.
- Ensure all work complies with current building regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment.
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Accurately record completed works and report any issues or variations.
- Maintain and care for company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience and competence across multiple trades.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of health and safety and safe working practices.
- Ability to produce high-quality work to agreed deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Your own van and tools.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent trade qualifications.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Plant or machinery operator certifications.
- Experience working on residential renovation and refurbishment projects.

Pay: £22.00-£24.00 per hour
