Job Summary
We are an exciting small company, established 5 years but growing and now punching above our weight, with advanced internationally-recognised quality systems, a highly rated product range and supplying to major retailers in the field.
We are now looking for a new team member to provide additional resource to cover a broad range of roles within the business. We are growing but we are still too small to have specialists in every role, so all our employees need to be willing to turn their hand to what the business needs at the time. That could be helping with last minute preparations for an exhibition, doing some market research, CAD design, organising prototypes and testing, looking at quality problems/customer feedback, new product introduction, supporting our quality systems, looking at health and safety, organising packaging specifications, supplier management and frankly some normal day to day admin work. Sometimes a combination of these in the same day or week.
Essentially if you like the show “The Apprentice”, then you are well on your way!
Whilst is a trainee role you will need to learn to swim fast and be making a positive contribution to the company as quickly as possible. That said you will have the benefit of some experienced colleagues to mentor you on your way and government-funding training to support your development.
Maybe you have been struggling to find a graduate trainee role in the current job market and have given up looking within your speciality and settled for something to pay the bills like bar work. If that’s you why not explore a role in our company that will give you a taster of many parts of the business in a way that would be impossible in the corporate world? You will gain skills in a wide range of areas which will provide the foundations of your career and give you the real life experience, help you find what parts of your training you really enjoy using, help you build a CV and who knows you may even join us on our journey longer term and grow with us…
