Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to develop their career in dental nursing. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and those undertaking internships in dental healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
  • Maintain strict infection control protocols and ensure the cleanliness of clinical areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Record patient information accurately using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories.
  • Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling correspondence.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the clinic by organising supplies, managing stock levels, and preparing treatment rooms for daily use.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient service delivery.

Experience

  • Prior experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable training will be provided for suitable candidates.
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
  • Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment scheduling.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with patients and colleagues alike.
