DENTAL NURSE & RECEPTION DUTIES

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Dental Nurse, including reception duties, to join our friendly and supportive Orthodontic team in St Annes-on-Sea.

You would be working alongside and supported by experienced staff in modern purpose built surgeries that have been designed to ensure safety and a comfortable environment for all staff and patients. The selected candidate must be flexible, willing to learn and keen to expand their existing skills.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Dental surgery experience
  • Full immunisations
  • Current GDC registration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Caring and compassionate approach
  • Punctual and professional manner
  • Friendly, motivated, and positive attitude with a flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Up-to-date CPD
  • Knowledge of and compliance with Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Complaints, Information Governance, and all practice policies and procedures

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous orthodontic experience is preferred; however, this is not essential, as full training and support can be provided to the right candidate.
  • Radiography qualification

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties include providing full chairside assistance for orthodontic procedures & consultations, ensuring high standards of patient care and support throughout treatment. Responsibilities also include decontamination and sterilisation of instruments in accordance with infection control protocols, as well as carrying out reception duties such as greeting patients, managing appointments, handling telephone enquiries, maintaining patient records, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
