Job Summary
Amlwch dental practice is looking for a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, patient correspondence, and administrative tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
  • Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently using practice dental software
  • Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls as appropriate
  • Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
  • Process payments and organise billing in accordance with practice procedures
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, emails and data entry
  • Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth workflow throughout the day
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials

Requirements

  • Prior experience is essential, ideally within a dental setting
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in using office software programmes such as MS Office or dental practice management systems
  • Administrative experience is highly desirable to support daily operations efficiently
  • Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities

This role is ideal for organised individuals who enjoy working in a healthcare environment and are committed to delivering outstanding patient care through efficient administrative support.

Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including the receipt of an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and 2 references.

Working days : Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
