Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate operational care Manager to oversee the daily operations of our three care homes c. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of senior care, particularly in managing residents with dementia and other related conditions and managing a group of care homes . it would require you to travel to three homes one in berkshkre one in portsmouth and one near lymington . This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained while fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff. They would be required to audit and help with keeping homes complaint and managing managers across two homes

Duties

  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each resident.
  • Administer medication as required, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
  • Lead and mentor a team of caregivers, providing guidance and support to ensure quality care delivery.
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents’ health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for both residents and staff, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Organise training sessions for staff on best practices in senior care and dementia management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursing home or similar environment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and senior care best practices.
  • Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
  • Compassionate approach to caregiving with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.
  • Familiarity with dementia care techniques is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with residents, families, and staff.
