Full job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst to join the SAP Centre of Excellence reporting function in the HR Management Information Team.
Reporting to the HR Management Information Lead, you will support the centralised HR management information provision working with HR colleagues to provide consistent HR data to support operational and strategic decision making and performance improvement.
This role currently offers hybrid working, subject to service needs, with an expectation that the postholder will work from the office 1–2 days per week. Flexibility is required, as this may change depending on service demands. Specific working arrangements will be discussed at interview.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver cyclical and adhoc MI requirements and requests.
- Provide comprehensive workforce metrics, profiling and analysis to enable decision making and performance improvement, including monthly HR dashboard and alignment with council wide systems.
- Contribute to the production of complex reports and other analysis documents for key stakeholders.
- Support for HR colleagues in the availability, use and interpretation of HR MI across all functions to support overall effectiveness.
- Deliver responses to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Subject Access Requests (SAR) in line with council policy and legislative requirements, working with appropriate stakeholders as required.

What skills & experience do you need?
- Strong analytical skills
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
- Sound IT skills to analyse, interpret and present data in an accessible format to end users.
- Knowledge of utilising different analysis methods, software and tools (Power BI, SQL)
- Sound understanding of data protection/GDPR
