Full job description

As an established and expanding IT Services company, we are looking for a Field Engineer to join our team. You will be working from our modern offices in a rural setting on the outskirts of Chester (just off the A55) as well as travelling to client premises mainly throughout the Northwest region and on occasion throughout the UK.

As a key person within the team infrastructure no two days will be the same and you will have input to a wide variety of projects.

What will you be doing?

· Liaising with clients and providing on-site support, installations, maintenance and upgrades

· Installation and maintenance/testing of Cat 5/6 cabling

· Hosted VOIP setup & installations including roll out of phone systems, handsets and door entry systems (3cx)

· CCTV Installations

· Installations of networking equipment

· Responding to faults and replacing equipment

· Servicing and upgrading of IT products and services

· Working hours – Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm

· Part of 24/7 on call rota

· Occasional requirement to attend our datacentres in Chester and Leeds

· Continuous learning, undertake training on bespoke software and hardware partnerships that the company has

Skills and experience we are looking for;

· Previous experience within a similar role within an MSP environment and field work

· Experience installing hosted VoIP including 3cx, Yeastar

· Experience with Microsoft cloud-based services, including 365, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams and MS Office Suite

· Networking/Routing/Firewall experience

· Project experience of network design, implementation and troubleshooting

· Full clean driving license for use of the company vehicle, at times you may need to use your own vehicle, mileage can be reclaimed
