About the opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future DevOps Specialist roles, positions that could support the delivery of scalable cloud infrastructure and continuous integration solutions across our organisation.

Roles of this type may sit within collaborative technical teams responsible for building and maintaining robust deployment pipelines, managing cloud environments and ensuring reliable system operations. The work could involve partnering across development, infrastructure and operations teams to automate processes, improve system reliability and enable faster delivery cycles, with scope to contribute to architectural decisions and operational standards.

Typical role overview

  • Location: Manchester, Leeds, Bristol or nationwide UK positions
  • Type: Permanent or contract · Full-time
  • Day Rate: £250–£850 per day, dependent on experience and contract type
  • Specialism: Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and automation

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Managing and optimising cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS or GCP environments
  • Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using modern automation tools and frameworks
  • Deploying and orchestrating containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Managing infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform
  • Supporting the deployment and configuration of enterprise systems including SAP S/4HANA and SAP RISE
  • Collaborating with development teams to build microservices-based architectures
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues and implementing reliability improvements
  • Contributing to documentation, runbooks and knowledge sharing across technical teams

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • Demonstrable experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD toolchains and automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
  • Solid understanding of microservices, APIs and distributed systems architecture
  • SQL database knowledge and familiarity with data pipeline concepts
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent professional certification

Additional experience that could strengthen your profile includes SAP system deployment, Kubernetes cluster management, .NET or Java application environments, and data quality or BPMN process knowledge.
