Full job description

We're looking for a highly-skilled and compassionate tutor who cares about helping students learn and improve whilst supporting them with special educational needs issues such as time management, organisation and communication.

We teach students in England and Wales.

Using AI to answer the questions will lead to removal from the selection process.

The tutoring will be self employed and pays between £44 and £74 per hour session, depending on your qualifications and experience.

Ideal candidates are experts in their subject matter, able to create engaging and personalised lessons, and understand one or more special educational need.

Responsibilities include assisting students in understanding challenging concepts, preparing for exams, and improving academic performance. The tutor should develop a rapport with students and parents/carers, maintain a motivating environment, and provide constructive feedback.

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, evidence of academic excellence, and a strong track record in tutoring or teaching are desirable attributes.

We require:

  • Public liability insurance - at least £2 million
  • Professional indemnity insurance - at least £1 million
  • Safeguarding training (level 2 or equivalent)
  • Enhanced BDS on the update service
