Full job description

Most people think tax is boring. Your job is to prove them wrong.

You will work directly with our founder to grow her personal brand as a woman in Finanace (think think Mia McGrath, Abigail Foster, Nicole Zalys) across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn. The mission is to take a subject most people find dry and make it genuinely scroll stopping. And bring some of that natural Gen Z flair to a proudly cheugy millennial founder. You will be the instinct and energy that keeps our content current, fresh and genuinely watchable.

You will be growing the founder’s brand, so you don’t need to be the face. You should be comfortable with occasionally appearing in content yourself, but that is not your core role.

This role would ideally suit someone who already creates content for fun, even if it is just for friends and family, or helping a friend out with theirs. We are hiring for instinct and energy, not experience.

Day to day you will:

  • Weekly filming days in and around London
  • Film and edit Instagram Reels (our main focus), plus TikToks and YouTube Shorts
  • Jointly write scripts with the founder about tax and finance (we are not expecting you to know every tax hack, the founder brings the substance, you bring the storytelling)
  • Shape a LinkedIn presence that sounds human, not corporate
  • Write captions and reply to comments and DMs
  • Research trends and formats and bring fresh ideas to a weekly strategy session
  • Get involved in other marketing such as SEO, email marketing and paid ads, areas the firm hasn’t focused on yet and wants to develop
  • Use AI-assisted editing tools to work efficiently and keep output consistent

About the company:

My Property Accountant (MPA) is a specialist property tax accountancy firm based in Paddington, central London, serving clients across the UK. We work with limited company property investors and landlords, advising on company accounts, corporate structuring, tax planning and everything in between.

Most of our clients are young property investors. They don’t understand finance or tax, it was never taught in school, and we aim to help them understand it in a fun and easy way.

Most of our clients have found us through social media, and we intend to scale that up. We currently have a following of over 12,800 across platforms and we want to grow that significantly. This role is central to that ambition.

Entry Requirements

You will need to be in the office in London at least twice a week, so you should be able to travel into London reliably. Preferably your journey into London takes no longer than about an hour. You must be able to travel into London reliably, including for the occasional Saturday or evening event.

Skills required:

  • A naturally creative person with a good eye and good taste
  • A native feel for short-form video: what makes something watchable, the hook, the pacing, the on-screen text
  • Willing to learn editing apps such as CapCut and other software(no prior experience needed, just a willingness to pick it up)
  • Able to take a rough idea and turn it into something people want to watch
  • Organised and reliable enough to post consistently to a schedule

Working week

Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (1 hour lunch). There will be the occasional Saturday or evening event in London that you will need to attend.

Hours Per Week: 37.5 hours

Hybrid: 2 to 3 days in the office (London), the rest remote.
