About Us:

We are The Cornish Company and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Digital Marketing to lead our marketing efforts. With a focus on direct-to-consumer (DTC) campaigns and paid advertising across various platforms, we are looking for someone with a proven track record in driving successful digital marketing strategies.

The Cornish Company is one of the fastest-growing e-commerce companies in the U.K., established back in November 2020. We are now transitioning out of the startup phase and into a more mature organisation. Our mission is simple: to build a platform that will showcase everything that is great about Cornwall, with a strong emphasis on the food and drink for which Cornwall is well known. Our north star goal is to bring Cornwall’s finest to the global stage.

What the role will look like:

You will become a vital part of a rapidly expanding company transitioning from its startup phase into a more mature organisation. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Founders & Managing Director, working alongside them to shape the company's future. Initially, your role will be hands-on as you take the lead in assembling a team of creatives. As you assemble the team, you'll devise a comprehensive digital strategy for the future. Leveraging your team's strengths, you'll orchestrate the execution of this strategy.

While our marketing team establishes itself, the position will primarily be office-based; however, we anticipate transitioning to a more hybrid work environment in due course. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all paid media activity and other marketing initiatives within the business. You'll continuously test and refine campaigns, providing direct reports to the Managing Director.

You'll embrace the opportunity to work closely with senior management on a daily basis, unfazed by the prospect. Your pivotal role will involve spearheading the company's growth trajectory, with your insights and opinions highly esteemed across all facets of the organisation

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in running successful paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Google, and Microsoft.
  • Strong background in running successful DTC campaigns.
  • Experience working in the Food & Drink and/or Gifting industry is a bonus.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership marketing role.
  • Experience in a small to medium-sized e-commerce company.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all key areas of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, Email Marketing, PPC, and Influencer Marketing.


  • You will play a key role in building the in-house marketing department, including hiring new candidates.
  • Oversee all paid media activity, developing effective strategies based on data and insights.
  • Establish and iterate on creative strategies, collaborating closely with in-house and external creative teams.
  • Scale ad content from various sources to drive high-performance video ads.
  • Track, measure, and report on key metrics, driving data-led decision making.
  • Test new campaigns and channels with a focus on sustainable growth.
  • Share successes and learnings with the wider team and company.
  • Oversee all email marketing campaigns with our Marketing automation platform - Klaviyo.
  • Develop and execute influencer marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.


  • Proven track record in running successful paid media acquisition campaigns, preferably in e-commerce and DTC.
  • Experience managing budgets ranging from 6 to 7 figures.
  • Hands-on experience with ad creative, as well as strategic thinking abilities.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to derive insights and optimise campaigns.
  • Experience managing and motivating teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus.
