Full job description

So, what will I be doing?

At Yeo Valley, we're more than just an organic dairy company – we're a community rooted in the land, committed to sustainability, and passionate about producing quality food that nurtures people and planet. As a family-run business, we believe in doing things the right way – sustainably, ethically, and with people at the heart of what we do.

In this FTC role you will lead the successful delivery of digital and technology projects across Yeo Valley, ensuring each initiative is delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards.

You’ll be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle — from initial scoping and planning through to implementation and handover. You’ll work closely with business sponsors, teammates, and external partners to ensure that solutions meet business needs, risks are well managed, and benefits are realised.

Your responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they meet agreed scope, quality, and business outcomes.
  • Lead planning and execution, developing clear project charters, timelines, and resource plans aligned with business priorities.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring costs are controlled and financial reporting is accurate.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, escalating where necessary and ensuring effective mitigation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams of IT, business users, and suppliers to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with Business Partners to ensure that projects align with business strategy, priorities, and benefits expectations.
  • Ensure quality of delivery, including testing, training, and documentation.
  • Manage third-party partners and vendors, ensuring accountability for delivery, cost, and performance.
  • Communicate progress clearly to stakeholders through reports, governance packs, and steering committees.
  • Support post-implementation reviews, ensuring lessons learned are captured and benefits tracked.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, agility, and continuous improvement within the delivery community.

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

qualifications & experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale technology or business change projects end-to-end.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, or hybrid) and governance frameworks.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, risk management, change management, and communication across business and technical teams.
  • Experienced in managing suppliers and delivery partners to defined outcomes.
  • Competent in project budgeting, forecasting, and benefits realisation.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and influencing skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.

  • Desirable:
  • Background in manufacturing, FMCG, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience with ERP (IFS), data, analytics, or wider digital transformation projects.
  • Formal project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP, AgilePM).
  • Familiarity with delivery and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira)

Why should I join the family?

We’re sure you don’t need convincing, but there’s a whole host of benefits that we offer. It goes without saying that you'll have access to free parking, you'll also receive the following:

  • Competitive holiday allowance
  • non-contributory pension scheme
  • life cover
  • healthcare cash back plan
  • cycle to work scheme
  • subsidised Yeo Valley products and services
  • preferential rates with our partners
