Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef with experience in Greek Cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary skills in a professional environment, leading kitchen operations and inspiring team members to achieve excellence. Candidates with supervisory experience and a solid understanding of food safety standards are highly desirable. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating innovative menus, overseeing food production, and maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
  • Manage food production processes, including ingredient preparation, portion control, and plating
  • Oversee the organisation of the kitchen, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at all times
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure smooth operations
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to develop their culinary skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
  • Serve dishes to customers when required, providing excellent hospitality service

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong culinary skills with expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Supervising experience or team management skills are highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
