Full job description

Build One of the UK’s Most Ambitious Content & Social Media Strategies

White Stores | Essex | Full Time

This isn’t a social media job.

This is an opportunity to build something that very few businesses have ever committed to.

Over the next 3-5 years we want to create one of the UK’s largest libraries of content in the home and outdoor living sector. Not just social media content, but a complete ecosystem of videos, interviews, education, customer stories, influencer content, podcasts, industry insight and brand storytelling.

We’re looking for one exceptional person to lead that journey.

The Mission

Your objective is simple.

Make White Stores impossible to ignore.

You’ll create a content engine that produces material every single day across every platform, every audience and every stage of the customer journey.

This isn’t about chasing viral videos.

It’s about building a long-term asset that compounds year after year through authority, trust, SEO, brand awareness, backlinks, customer confidence and market leadership.

What You’ll Build

You’ll develop and execute a multi-year content strategy covering every part of our business.

That includes:

● Retail stores

● Ecommerce

● Website content

● Trade & Contract

● Telesales

● Customer service

● Logistics

● Deliveries

● Warehouse operations

● Product development

● Buying

● AI and technology

● Software development

● Marketing

● Leadership

● Recruitment

● Company culture

Alongside this you’ll create content covering:

● Product launches

● Buying guides

● Installation videos

● How-to tutorials

● Customer testimonials

● Before & after transformations

● Outdoor inspiration

● Seasonal campaigns

● Garden trends

● Design advice

● Industry insights

● Market commentary

● Behind-the-scenes content

● Factory visits

● Supplier stories

● Contract installations

● Hospitality projects

● Care homes

● Schools

● Hotels

● Restaurants

● Golf clubs

● Holiday parks

● Commercial landscaping

No area of the business should go unexplored.

Every Platform Matters

Content will be adapted for each platform rather than copied.

Long-form content:

● YouTube

● Facebook

● LinkedIn

Short-form content:

● TikTok

● Instagram

● Pinterest

● YouTube Shorts

● Facebook Reels

Beyond Outdoor Living

Some of our best content won’t even be about furniture or pergolas.

We want entrepreneurs, podcasters, creators and business influencers to visit White Stores.

Interview our management team.

Film inside our warehouse.

Show how we run logistics.

Explain our AI strategy.

Talk to our buying team.

Discuss ecommerce.

Explore our technology stack.

Follow our customer service operation.

Document how we’re building a modern retail business.

Every interview, every podcast and every collaboration creates another piece of content, another backlink, another audience and another reason for people to discover White Stores.

User Generated Content

We’ll build one of the UK’s strongest UGC programmes.

That means:

● Influencer partnerships

● Product reviews

● Home installations

● Unboxing videos

● Customer transformations

● Store visits

● Creator collaborations

● Lifestyle content

Real people.

Real homes.

Real experiences.

You’ll Need To

● Think strategically.

● Create relentlessly.

● Organise multiple projects simultaneously.

● Work with agencies and creators.

● Recruit influencers.

● Build relationships with media and creators.

● Analyse performance.

● Improve constantly.

● Never stop looking for the next opportunity to create content.

Some days you’ll be filming in a customer’s garden.

Other days you’ll be interviewing our software developers.

The next day you could be hosting an entrepreneur with 500,000 subscribers.

No two weeks will look the same.

Who We’re Looking For

We honestly don’t care how old you are.

We don’t care whether you have a degree.

We don’t care whether you’ve worked in outdoor living before.

We care about attitude.

We’re looking for someone who is:

● Curious.

● Obsessed with learning.

● Creative.

● Organised.

● Ambitious.

● Resilient.

● Self-motivated.

● Commercially minded.

● Comfortable speaking to anyone.

● Excited by building something from scratch.

You’ll need to be someone who listens, learns, acts and continually improves.

Someone who sees opportunities where others don’t.

Someone who can take an idea and make it happen.

What Success Looks Like

Over time you’ll build one of the UK’s most respected content operations.

Thousands of videos.

Millions of views.

A recognised brand.

An incredible library of educational content.

A business that customers trust because they’ve seen how we operate.

A content strategy that continues delivering value for years.

Why This Role Is Different

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply schedule Instagram posts.

You’ll help define how one of the UK’s leading outdoor living retailers communicates with the world.

You’ll gain experience across ecommerce, branding, retail, AI, logistics, technology, marketing, SEO, content production, influencer management, PR, video production and commercial strategy.

By the end of this journey you’ll have developed a skillset that very few people possess.

Whether you choose to continue growing with White Stores or one day build your own consultancy or agency, you’ll have created and led a genuinely world-class content operation.

If that excites you, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: £50,000.00-£100,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Wickford North SS11 8YW
