Full job description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments for Level 3 and Level 6 Project Controls Qualifications.
  • Guide and support our learners to successfully achieve their qualifications.
  • Maintain accurate assessment records in line with Awarding Body requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of learning and assessment materials.
  • Support the completion of submissions and ensure reporting requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner by utilising e-portfolio systems for tracking and evaluating learner evidence.
  • Support the Centre Coordinator in maintaining and developing systems, policies and processes for the delivery of qualifications.
  • Manage your own caseload of learners.
  • Ensure candidate induction, learning materials and qualification delivery and assessment meet the Awarding Body requirements and 20/20’s internal quality standards.
  • Attend standardisation meetings to discuss current assessment and verification issues, to share knowledge and good practice with other assessors.
  • Support internal and external assurance visits, liaising with the Centre Coordinator, as appropriate, on quality assurance matters.
  • Contribute to the design, delivery and promotion of new qualifications as appropriate.
  • Maintain own continuous professional development, keeping up to date with innovations in learning design, methodologies and technologies and integrating these into our approach as appropriate.
  • Undertake any other reasonable task assigned by the Operations Director.

Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in Project Management or Project Controls.
  • Experience in assessing learners.
  • Experience in internal quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of the accreditation process.
  • Proven experience in facilitating high quality learning solutions.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with awarding bodies.
  • Experience of conducting quality assurance assessments and evaluation of work.
  • Experience of working with an e-portfolio system.

Qualifications and Training

Essential:

  • Assessor qualification i.e. L&D9D/A1/D32, D33, CAVA Level 3 or equivalent Assessor Award.
  • Qualifications in project management or project controls.

Desirable:

  • Membership/registration with a relevant professional body.
  • Qualifications in Project related disciplines

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Strong digital literacy.
  • Ability to engage, support, and positively challenge learners.
  • Ability to establish and maintain credibility in areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Ability to quickly establish working relationships.

  • Knowledge of engineering or construction sectors.
