About the opportunity: We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and motivated practicing Doctor to join our Academy Medical Team.
As one of the practicing Doctors at Finch Farm; you will provide expert, high quality and proactive medical services across teams and players and wider Academy, working closely with the Head of Medical Services, First Team Club Doctor, Academy Director, Head of Academy Medical, and Coaches on the recovery of individual players.
Other key responsibilities as part of this role include:
- Manage the day to day health of individual players in the professional development phase – PDP.
- Provide match day cover for PDP fixtures.
- Support the health of all players in the Everton Fc academy
- Complete medical assessments and screening for professional players in accordance to EPPP guidance.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team (MDT) to assist in the development of academy players.
Who we are looking for: Our successful candidate will possesses excellent clinical reasoning skills in relation to common sporting injuries as well as having good general medical experience.
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following educational experience;
- Have or working towards MSc/diploma in sport and exercise medicine.
- ATMMiF certificate’
- A full GMC registration, with an up-to-date appraisal and revalidation certificate
We need an individual who possess the ability to work discreetly under pressure, but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and can evidence on-going CPD.
Knowledge of the FA Anti-doping regulation and experience of working within an elite sports environment is advantageous.
Hours for this role are negotiable within a range of 0.6 WTE (24 hours) to 0.8 WTE (32 hours) per week contract, hours may be flexible due to the games program. The Training ground is based at Finch Farm, Liverpool (Halewood).
