About The Role

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Document Controller to join the team in Renfrew on a permanent basis.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Document Controller, ideally within the oil & gas industry and a design office environment. This role offers excellent career progression opportunities to Senior Document Controller.

Key Deliverables

  • Maintain accurate, consistent and auditable document control systems and files.
  • Manage engineering deliverables, supplier documentation, work packs and discipline interfaces.
  • Support EPC projects and ensure document control activities align with engineering work processes.
  • Prepare reports and procedures while maintaining effective written and verbal communication across project teams.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation, time management and hazard awareness.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of discipline interfaces.
  • Exposure to FEED, detailed design and EPC work.

Key Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Document Controller.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within the oil & gas industry.
  • Experience within a design office and EPC environment.
  • Strong understanding of work packs, engineering deliverables and supplier documentation.
  • Experience working with a Document Control (DC) network.
  • Knowledge of eDMS systems such as ProArc and Viewpoint is advantageous; however, full training will be provided.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy with a strong understanding of document management processes.
  • Experience in planning, reporting, and report/procedure writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with hazard and risk awareness.
  • Robert Gordon University Document Control course would be advantageous.
