Site Administrator

Job Summary

St David Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a large well established Civil Engineering Company who are involved with a major water project based in Exeter.

We are looking for a capable and proactive Site Administrator to support the Project Manager. You will provide full day-to-day administrative support to ensure smooth operational and business support to the Project Manager.

This role would suit someone with previous experience, who is highly organised, priority plans, works well to tight deadlines, IT-savvy, confident in a busy site environment, and able to use initiative. While document control experience is helpful, this is not a full document controller role.

Key Responsibilities

  • General site office administration and support to the project team
  • Managing site records, filing systems, and electronic documentation
  • Assisting with induction records, training matrices, and compliance paperwork
  • Handling correspondence, emails, and phone calls
  • Taking minutes
  • Supporting commercial and engineering teams with admin tasks as required
  • Updating trackers, spreadsheets, and basic reports
  • Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and head office where necessary
  • Maintaining an organised, professional site office environment

About You

  • Previous experience as a site administrator in construction or Utilities admin essential
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office essential)
  • Well organised with good attention to detail
  • Confident, professional, and able to deal with a range of site personnel
  • Proactive, with a positive attitude and common sense
  • Comfortable working in a live construction site environment

Location: Exeter
Contract Duration: 6 months minimum
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Standard site hours 8.30am – 5.00pm (40 hours a week)

Salary: £16-£18PH DOE

Hybrid: 3 days office based and 2 days home working.

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
