Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to solicitors and assist in the smooth operation of the law firm. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of legal terminology, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties

  • Prepare and format legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Maintain and organise case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and easily accessible.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates for solicitors
  • Conduct legal research as required and summarise findings for solicitors
  • Manage billing processes and maintain accurate records of client accounts.
  • Liaise with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals to facilitate communication.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures in filing documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of trial materials and exhibits.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in a similar role within a legal environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
  • Familiarity with legal software and case management systems is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for this role.
