Construction Document Controller & Project Administrator

Location: Bicester / Oxfordshire Salary: £40k-£55k + Pension (Experience dependant)

Role Overview

Fenway Construction is seeking a highly organised, detail-driven Construction Document Controller & Project Administrator to support the operational, technical and commercial delivery of a growing residential development business.

This is a pivotal role responsible for controlling project information flow across the business, ensuring documentation, drawings, approvals and commercial administration are accurately managed and issued in a timely and controlled manner.

The successful candidate will support the technical, commercial and operational teams across live residential developments including listed building conversions, new build housing and high-end residential projects.

This role requires a candidate with strong construction administration experience, excellent document control discipline and the confidence to proactively chase consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to keep projects moving.

Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Control / Technical Information

  • Manage all project document control processes across live developments
  • Maintain Common Data Environment (CDE) systems
  • Control drawing registers and revision histories
  • Ensure latest approved drawings are issued to relevant teams
  • Maintain technical submittal trackers
  • Issue transmittals
  • Track consultant information releases
  • Monitor and log RFIs
  • Maintain technical queries register
  • Control revision issue status
  • Manage design team document flow
  • Ensure superseded drawings are removed from circulation
  • Support technical team with drawing coordination administration

Commercial / QS Support

  • Support Senior QS with subcontract administration
  • Issue tender enquiries
  • Maintain tender return schedules
  • Chase subcontractor quotations
  • Collate tender comparisons
  • Manage subcontractor onboarding documentation
  • Chase insurance / H&S documentation / RAMS / accreditations
