Create some of the best digital content in the public sector.
At Millbank, we're changing the way public organisations communicate.
We believe better digital communications build stronger relationships, greater understanding and ultimately greater trust between organisations and the communities they serve.
From local authorities and emergency services to Government organisations, we help ambitious public sector leaders tell their stories through world-class digital content.
We're now looking for an exceptional Video Editor to help us take that content to the next level.
The role
This isn't a role for someone who simply cuts videos together.
We're looking for an editor who genuinely cares about storytelling, pacing, emotion and quality. Someone who notices the details others miss and understands how to create content that people actually want to watch.
You'll be responsible for editing premium content across both Millbank and our clients, including:
- High-end podcast episodes and multi-camera interviews
- Cinematic films and documentaries
- Premium short-form social content
- High-retention reels inspired by creators such as Diary of a CEO
- YouTube content
- Brand launch films
- Conference and event highlights
- Campaign content for ambitious public sector organisations
Every edit should feel considered. Every transition should have purpose. Every subtitle, sound effect and colour grade should elevate the final product.
We aren't interested in average content. We're looking for someone who wants to produce work they're genuinely proud of.
What you'll be doing
- Editing long and short-form video content to an exceptional standard
- Producing premium podcast edits for YouTube and social media
- Creating cinematic edits from location shoots
- Designing engaging, high-retention social media reels
- Colour grading and sound mixing
- Creating motion graphics and animated titles where appropriate
- Working closely with our creative team to develop new ideas and formats
- Managing projects efficiently and meeting agreed deadlines
- Maintaining a consistently high creative standard across every piece of content
About you
You'll probably have several years' experience editing professional content and be completely comfortable owning projects from raw footage through to final delivery.
Most importantly, you'll have an outstanding eye for quality.
You should have:
- An exceptional portfolio and showreel
- Strong experience editing podcasts and interview content
- Experience producing cinematic films and documentaries
- A modern editing style with excellent pacing and storytelling
- Advanced colour grading and sound design skills
- Excellent motion graphics and subtitle design
- A strong understanding of what performs across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
- Excellent organisation and time management
- The ability to work independently while collaborating with the wider team
What we're looking for
We're less interested in years of experience than we are in the quality of your work.
If you're the sort of person who spends an extra hour perfecting an edit because you know it can be better, you'll fit in well here.
We're building a small team of people who genuinely care about producing industry-leading creative work.
Why Millbank?
You'll work on meaningful projects that reach millions of people and genuinely improve the way public organisations engage with their communities.
You'll have creative freedom, work alongside an ambitious and supportive team, and help shape the future of digital communications across the public sector.
Most importantly, you'll be joining a business that refuses to settle for ordinary.
Pay: £31,250.00-£34,500.00 per year
Benefits:
- On-site parking
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Essex
