Full job description

Holly Grove Consulting Limited | Fully remote (UK-based) | Up to 4 years' relevant experience

About the role

Holly Grove Consulting is a regulated financial services consultancy specialising in Customer Communications Management (CCM) and document management, implementing document generation and archiving platforms into banking and ERP environments across the UK.

We are hiring an Implementation Consultant to join our delivery team. This is not a role that requires prior experience with our specific platform; we don't expect to find that in the market at this level, and we will train you on the tooling directly, combining structured product training with on-the-job mentoring. What we do need is someone with the right underlying technical foundation and aptitude to be productive within a realistic ramp-up period.

What you'll be doing

  • Mapping data fields from client source systems (core banking platforms, ERPs) into document generation templates
  • Building and testing document templates against client specifications, ranging from simple correspondence to complex regulatory statements
  • Configuring document archiving, retention rules, and secure retrieval for client environments
  • Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with client stakeholders and resolving defects
  • Troubleshooting issues across the data feed, template design, and output/distribution chain
  • Working with client compliance and operations teams to understand the regulatory purpose behind a document requirement, not just its technical specification

Minimum (essential) requirements

These are the non-negotiable technical foundations. Without them, product-specific training will not stick quickly enough to be commercially viable within the first few months.

  • Working SQL: comfortable writing and reading queries involving joins and relational data structures.
  • Structured data literacy: hands-on experience with XML, XSD, or XSLT, or clearly transferable experience with another structured data/markup format (e.g. JSON schema work)
  • At least one ERP or core banking platform, in an implementation, support, or business analyst capacity. Relevant platforms include core banking systems such as Temenos, Thought Machine, Tuum, Mambu, and SaaScada, and ERPs such as SAP and Infor; experience with any one of these is a reasonable proxy for the kind of system-to-document mapping work this role involves
  • A degree, or a UK college-level IT qualification such as a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ), HND/HNC, or equivalent, in a computing, IT, or numerate technical discipline
  • Up to 4 years' relevant professional experience in a technical consulting, implementation, or systems support role
  • Right to work in the UK and eligibility for basic financial services screening, given client sector

Desirable (nice to have, not required)

  • Direct exposure to a document generation or CCM platform, such as Lasernet, Quadient, Smart Communications/Messagepoint, or Doxim
  • Direct Temenos T24 implementation experience specifically
  • Familiarity with UK financial services regulatory concepts relevant to document retention and customer communications, e.g. FCA Consumer Duty or MiFID II record-keeping obligations. We will train this, but candidates who already understand why a bank needs a 7-year audit trail will ramp faster than those who only understand the mechanics
  • Scripting ability (PowerShell or Python) for data feed automation or troubleshooting
  • Experience with document archive/retention system design, including metadata and indexing schemes for retrieval
  • A relevant vendor-recognised ERP or core banking platform credential

The platform

The role involves implementing Lasernet Core (document design and generation) and Lasernet Keep (archiving and retrieval) into client environments. There is no independent, industry-standard certification for this platform equivalent to something like a professional accounting or engineering qualification. We will provide product training as part of onboarding; prior exposure to Lasernet is a bonus, not an expectation.

What we offer

  • Fully remote working
  • Structured onboarding including product training
  • Exposure to financial services clients and real regulatory-driven implementation work from day one
  • A day-rate consulting model with a clear path to more senior delivery and template-estimation responsibility as you build product depth

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Work from home

Work Location: Remote
