This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, spending time outdoors and providing excellent care to dogs.

Must have access to own car and full driving licence.

The role includes:

  • Collecting, walking and safely returning dogs
  • Leading small group walks (usually 2 walks per day, occasionally 3)
  • Providing daycare from your home for some dogs after walks
  • Offering overnight boarding either in your own home or occasionally in a client's home
  • Building positive relationships with our dogs and their owners

Requirements:

  • Experience caring for dogs
  • Reliable, organised and confident working independently
  • Own car and full UK driving licence essential
  • Based in or close to Peckham, Nunhead, Dulwich or surrounding areas
  • Able to provide daycare and overnight boarding
  • Comfortable handling multiple dogs

Flexible availability is essential.

Whilst there is regular weekly work available, we are specifically looking for someone who can also help with additional weekdays when required. This may be due to holidays, increased bookings or business growth.

The ideal candidate will be available for regular weekly work but also happy to provide additional cover on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays when needed.

Pay:

This is a self-employed position paid per dog and per service completed.

  • 50% of revenue
  • £30 per boarding night
  • Additional earnings available through daycare and holiday cover

Typical earnings are approximately £600–£1,400+ per month depending on availability and the number of boarding, daycare and cover bookings undertaken.

All clients, scheduling, insurance, administration, treats, poo bags and equipment are provided by Al's Pals.

To apply, please email alice@alspals.uk with a bit about yourself, your experience with dogs and where you're based.

Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you!
