Job Overview
We are seeking a mature Dachshund loving dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Kennel Maid to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in helping the dogs feel loved and settled whilst maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all our four legged guests. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a small team. Previous experience as a Kennel Maid or a caring position or housekeeper or commercial cleaning is highly desirable. The perfect role for a dog loving semi retired person.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met.
  • Check all the dogs are happy and healthy and cuddle each one daily.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings to maintain a tidy appearance.
  • Vacuum carpets and mop floors to ensure all areas are clean and presentable.
  • Report any concerns with the dog or maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Walk the dogs on a lead weather permitting keeping them safe at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or working with dogs is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Good customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with all dogs, guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a peaceful environment.
  • Physical stamina to walk dogs and to anticipate their needs.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to the role.
