Full job description

The role is primarily a Dog Walking role with some optional weekend work for Cat Care visits. M-F but weekends and evenings are available too. Weekends and evenings are paid at 20% extra. Core hours are 9 - 3 give or take. The role is full-time (M-F) but there is an option to start part-time and build up to full-time if that suits the right candidate. There is a potential option for 3 days a week.

Applicant must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle as the role is mobile - this is non negotiable sorry. Must have some physical fitness as the role is active and outdooors. Experience with dogs is preferred but not essential as training and support will be given. The role is Self-Employed to recover all the benefits of car use and full support will be given with HMRC self-assessment. There is no requirement to 'find' work, work is readily available for each staff member and minimal/no customer interaction is required. Pet Concierge provides Public Liability Insurance, Personal Accident insurance and basic equipment.

We are a well established Pet Care Company since 2009 with over 800 customers in the local area offering a bespoke dog walking service. We have a great staff retention rate, some staff have gone on to veterinary medicine and teaching posts. We operate in solo walks and small numbers (not group walks) You will be responsible for no more than three dogs at any time in your care.

We also provide a bespoke puppycare package and dog training. Applicants are welcome to work towards this as a career goal and will be supported with learning and development if it's desired.

The applicant must be self-motivated, adaptable and reliable. Honest and trustworthy and able to make decisions. We are a team of 9 and work a mixture of solo and with team members. Preferred if candidate is local to Ellesmere Port.
