Aspen Valley Kennels is looking for a passionate, experienced dog, cat and horse lover to join our team! We are a small business with a close-knit group of employees. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to our mission and committed to the well-being of our company.

We are located in Oswaldtwistle.

We have an opportunity available for a suitable candidate to join our dedicated team of animal carers. We are only interested in recruiting enthusiastic people who are reliable, trustworthy and hard-working with a genuine passion for dogs and cats of all breeds. Your duties will include all aspects of animal care, primarily cleaning, feeding and assisting other staff. The role is physically demanding so you must be able to carry out the work required and in all weathers. Confidence and compassion is desired and experience and qualifications are mandatory (minimum Ofqual Level 3 - small animal care ) Equine qualifications and or experience a bonus. Candidates should be comfortable working as part of a team and be able to follow requests and instructions to the latter. The role is to include client interaction, both in person and over the telephone, and administrative duties. Caring for animals is demanding and often requires the need to go above and beyond. All year round dedication is needed to include weekends and Bank Holidays. Candidates considered will be expected to work variable hours as we are a seasonal business but very busy throughout the year. Our busiest periods occur when the schools are on holiday so candidates must be prepared to work at those times. This includes sharing the work load over Easter, Christmas and the New Year. Extra cover is also required for holiday and sickness cover.
