The Range Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of shooting ranges. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage various tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing range operations, enforcing safety protocols, and providing exceptional customer service to all patrons.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety regulations on the shooting range to ensure a secure environment for all users.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to shooters regarding range rules and equipment usage.
• Conduct regular inspections of the range facilities and equipment to maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of shooting events, ensuring all equipment is properly managed.
• Communicate effectively with patrons, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding range operations.
• Maintain accurate records of range usage, incidents, and any relevant data entry tasks as required.
• Promote additional services or products available at the range through effective upselling techniques.

Skills

• Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate professionally with clients over the phone.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions regarding safety measures.
• Proficient in data entry with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of individuals, ensuring that all instructions are understood.
• Availability to work across multiple sites within the business operations - currently Spennymoor & Middlesbrough.

Range Officer qualification desirable but full training available.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
