Location: Hillside Paws for Life

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM -4:30 PM

Hillside Paws for Life is looking for an experienced Service Dog Trainer to join our team! We need someone with a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience in training service and emotional support dogs. If you have a passion for working with dogs to improve lives and can train to a high standard, we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

As a Service Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for:

Training service and emotional support dogs to assist individuals with autism, PTSD, anxiety, and other conditions

Ensuring all dogs meet high obedience and public access standards

  • Developing and implementing tailored training programs

Bringing expertise and innovative training methods to our organization

Key Training Areas:

Autism Support -Teaching dogs to provide deep pressure therapy, prevent bolting, assist with transitions, and offer social support

PTSD & Anxiety Support -Training dogs for grounding techniques, interrupting panic attacks, and providing comfort in stressful situations

  • Emotional Support-Helping individuals manage daily challenges with a reliable canine companion

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in training service dogs and emotional support dogs
  • Strong knowledge of obedience training, behavior modification, and public access requirements

A passion for making a difference in people’s lives through service dog training
