Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. This role is a self employed role for 30 to 35 hours a week. This role involves providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various dog breeds and sizes.
As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with both the dogs and their owners, ensuring that all needs are met with professionalism and care.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
- Maintain control of dogs at all times to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
- Provide basic animal care, including feeding, administering medication if required, and monitoring health conditions.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behaviour, needs, and any concerns that may arise during walks.
- Keep records of each dog's walking schedule, preferences, and any special instructions from owners.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting larger dogs or carrying supplies.
- Ensure that all equipment used (leashes, harnesses) is safe and in good condition.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness by cleaning up after the dogs during walks.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or veterinary settings is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
- Ability to manage multiple dogs at once while maintaining control and safety.
- Experience in handling heavy lifting associated with larger breeds or equipment is beneficial.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.

Must have own transport to be able to collect and drop the dogs home after their walks
Hours start time 8.30am
