We Are Hiring!!!!
Professional Dog Walkers (Contractors)
Location: Cambridge City Centre (only)
Tailor your work schedule to suite your personal needs. We are looking for someone who could potentially offer full-time or part-time any hours between 9am-4pm Mon–Fri (No weekends required), and we can even offer schedules that can accommodate the family school run. However, we are looking for a minimum of 3 - 5 days per week (no less than 3 days).
Fetch Cambridge are an award-winning, 5-star dog walking service that prides itself on providing exceptional care and companionship to our furry friends. If you're passionate about dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Join our team and be a part of an award-winning consumer services start-up that values professionalism, reliability, and above all, the happiness and well-being of our canine clients.
Don't miss the chance to turn your love for dogs into a rewarding career with Fetch Cambridge!
So, if you love dogs, and would like to work outdoors in the fresh air, and walk around the beautiful city and surroundings of Cambridge, please send your CV via email mell@fetchcambridge.co.uk
Must haves:
- A passion for dogs
- Outstanding customer service
- Have experience working with canines, and the confidence to handle up to 4 dogs maximum at a time.
- Reliability is a must, and tough enough to brave whatever the weather throws at you (or a great selection of coats :-D)
- Car & Drivers Licence, and happy to have wet/muddy dogs in your car
- Live no more than 10km from Cambridge City Centre (Only accepting applicants within this area)
At Fetch Cambridge we like to offer a first-class service so our dog owners can relax knowing their best friend is in safe hands. As such all contractors will require:
- DBS Check
- Canine First Aid Qualified (we can help with this)
- Dog Walker Insurance, including Public Liability, and Dog Taxi insurance (we can also help with this)
Responsibilities:
- Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks.
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding their dogs' walking routines.
- Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly.
- Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or health issues and report them to the pet owner.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour when interacting with pet owners
Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals, such as in a kennel, pet grooming, or pet sitting role, is preferred.
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Ability to handle up to 4 x dogs at a time.
- Knowledge of basic dog behaviour and body language.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Please note that this position may require heavy lifting at times, as some dogs may be larger breeds.
More information about the role and remuneration:
At Fetch Cambridge we offer Private Walks and Group Walks for our clients. Group walks are popular and in demand, but you would need a car to be able to offer group walks. Private walks we cycle to each client and walk them from their homes, as it is quicker to get around Cambridge on a bike due to traffic.
Private Walks - 30min duration (clients can book a full hour)
Group Walks - 1 hour duration (not including travel time for pick up and drop off)
***Please Note this is a ‘Contractor’ position, so you would be ‘Self Employed’ and contracting to Fetch Cambridge. Please do not apply if you are not interested in self-employment. Thank you***
Renumeration:
£11/30min Private walk or £22/1hr Private walk
£11/dog on 1hr Group walks (eg: 4 x dogs - £44), maximum of 4 x dogs per group.
You are only paid per walk/dog booked (not travel time between)
At the beginning it is a gradual build to get your clients up but, eventually your walk slots will be full (depending on the times you offer) Our busiest in demand times are the middle of the day or lunch time walks.
It is a contractor position, so we can’t guarantee the walks as our clients do take holiday and take their dog with them, or if the dog is ill or injured, they may cancel. But we are a very in demand dog walking service with over 80 dogs on our waiting list.
Please send your CV via email mell@fetchcambridge.co.uk
