Permanent position.
Dog Walking: Collection & Drop Offs, Walking Multiple dogs in a secure paddock area and one2one walks in public areas
Pet Sitting: Home Visits for all animals in our care including feeding and cleaning.
All the animals in our care are domestic animals but we do except animals with different levels of temperaments and behavior's as well as sizes, ages, and abilities so a good understanding of animal behavior's and confident experience with multiple dogs is essential.
Your job roll will include key holding and collecting payments, so candidates are required to be CRB checked.
Applicants must have a full clean driver’s license as there is a lot of time spent on the road travelling from house to house, you must be conscientious, self-motivated, a good timekeeper. 2 solid references required.
Training –
1 weeks intensive shadow work will be provided. As a team we feel this is important to nurture new candidates to get them up to the standard of care we are known and respected for. Also, so all animals in your care are comfortable and happy with a new walker/sitter. On the employment of an applicant a contract will be issued and must be signed agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions as laid out.
Experience –
Preferred but not obligatory. A basic knowledge of dogs, behavior's and breeds and a respect for all living beings is more import. Communication skills with clients and working as a team and individual is especially important.
When –
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible
Notes –
Dog walking is not an easy job. Managing groups of dogs to the standards of care we expected can be challenging and tiring. We look for a certain level of strength, fitness, dedication, and motivation in our team to ensure they can respond appropriately in all situations. Workers that wish to flex their knowledge are supported and we try to provide as much learning opportunity as we can, including animal first aid and some cases NVQ level 2 in animal care other options can be discussed.
Workers need to be ready to work in all weathers. This can be a shock down the line for those who train up in the delightful spring / summer. Rain or shine – you need to be prepared to maintain the pace. So, a love of the outdoors and appropriate gear is advisable.
Some uniform will be provided.
We provide a friendly, reliable, and trustworthy service for our clients and use only positive reinforcement on the animals in our care. We will be looking for the applicant to show the same high standards.
