Join the Team!

We are looking for a dedicated Dog Walker to join the CT&T team in providing exceptional care and exercise for our client’s s dogs.

Role: Part Time Contracted Dog Walker - Maternity Cover (with the possibility of extension)

Hours expected: Minimum 10 hours per week over 2 days

Wage: National Minimum Wage + mileage

We provide Dog Walking and Pet Sitting services throughout the Broadland villages of Acle, Blofield, Blofield Heath, Brundall, Little Plumstead, Lingwood, Postwick, South Walsham, Strumpshaw and Upton.

This post is for 2 days a week (Wednesday & Thursday), 9.30am to 2.30pm. Additional days are available based on the demands of the business.

Requirements:

  • Broadland based or within the local area.
  • Must be trustworthy, caring and reliable. Our guardians and clients put a lot of trust in us looking after their dogs and homes.
  • Excellent time management skills. Our clients rely on us being there, come rain or shine.
  • Experience working with dogs. Our on-the-job training programme will be provided to complement your experience.
  • Previous experience in the animal industry is desirable.
  • Have an understanding and knowledge of Force-Free and reward-based dog handling.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new skills regarding dog behaviour and training.
  • Be physically fit and happy to work in all weathers. This role is demanding and hard work.
  • Be able to walk multiple dogs at once.
  • Must have a full clean UK driving license.
  • Must have own vehicle and be happy to transport dogs. Happy add business use to your vehicle Insurance. Equipment will be provided.
  • Communicate effectively with owners and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Be comfortable, confident and polite when dealing with the public.
  • Have a good understanding of smart phone applications and skills to manage our pet software.
