Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a dog Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the dogs are well-groomed, comfortable, and happy during their visit. This role requires both technical grooming skills and excellent customer service abilities to build strong relationships with pet owners.

Responsibilities

  • Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds.
  • Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options.
  • Maintain a clean and organised grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised after each use.
  • Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
  • Assist with heavy lifting of larger pets when necessary.
  • Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide the best service possible.

Experience

  • Previous experience in dog grooming - minimum 2 years/ Level 3 .
  • Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds.
  • Knowledge of basic veterinary care is an advantage but not essential.
  • A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is crucial for success in this role.

Pay: £16,329.28-£31,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
