As a Senior Dog Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide grooming services for various breeds of dogs and cats, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling fur.
  • Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues that may require veterinary attention.
  • Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for care.
  • Handle pets with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
  • Assist in lifting larger or heavier animals as needed during grooming sessions.

Experience

  • You must have four year or more experience in dog grooming within a salon or home based grooming
  • You are required to conduct a dog groom as part of your interview process and you should have a portfolio of grooms to show during your interview process
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
  • Knowledge of basic veterinary care is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Good communication skills and listening skills
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
