We're on the hunt for a talented Sous Chef to join our team at The Dog House in Gillingham.

The Dog House is an established village pub at the heart of the local community, serving relaxed, ingredient-led Modern British food alongside great drinks and warm, genuine hospitality. Our menus are built around the best seasonal produce from local suppliers, creating food that's honest, generous and full of flavour.

We're proud to be a pub first and foremost, a place where locals feel at home, visitors become regulars, and great food is simply part of the experience.

The Opportunity Working alongside the Head Chef and pub directors, you'll have the opportunity to:

Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Cook Modern British pub food using the very best seasonal ingredients
Develop your skills in butchery, fish preparation, stocks, sauces and classic cookery techniques
Learn fermentation, pickling, preserving and low-waste kitchen practices
Help shape evolving seasonal menus
Support and mentor junior members of the kitchen team

Who We're Looking For
An experienced Sous Chef or ambitious Chef de Partie looking to progress. Passionate about Modern British food and seasonal produce. Proud of producing consistently excellent food. Calm, organised and reliable under pressure. A team player who wants to learn, develop and grow
