About the Role:
As a Wedding Dog Chaperone, you’ll play a key role in ensuring dogs are safe, comfortable, and stress-free throughout the wedding day. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to help create cherished memories for both pets and their families.
What You’ll Do:
- Transport and Safety: Securely transport dogs to and from venues, adhering to DEFRA guidelines.
- Wedding Day Support: Assist dogs in their roles during the ceremony, photo sessions, and throughout the celebrations.
- Pre-Wedding Care: Meet with clients to bond with their dogs and understand their needs.
- Post-Wedding Pet Sitting: Provide care at client homes or venues if required.
- Client Communication: Offer regular updates, including photos, to reassure and delight clients.
- Safety and Well-being: Monitor and address any behavioural issues to keep dogs calm and happy.
- Professional Development: Participate in training, follow company policies, and maintain your kit and uniform.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking responsible, reliable individuals who love dogs and are committed to delivering exceptional service.
- We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- A love for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
- Experience working with animals, whether professionally or in volunteer roles. (Backgrounds in zookeeping, military animal handling, or similar are highly valued.)
- A valid driving licence, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
- Physical fitness to handle medium-to-large breeds and remain active during long shifts.
- A positive, can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
- A valid DBS certificate (or are willing to obtain one).

Optional Opportunities:
For those interested in earning more, we may be able to support obtaining a home boarding licence, allowing you to offer additional services. This isn’t a requirement and can be discussed during the application process.
Hours and Flexibility:
This is a self-employed role offering casual and flexible hours. Most shifts occur during peak wedding season (April to October).
- Shorter shifts: 5-6 hours, focusing on pre-wedding care, transportation, and chaperoning.
- Longer shifts: Up to 13 hours, covering full-day chaperoning, including evening pet sitting.
- Optional overnight stays: At client homes or nearby accommodations, based on your preferences.
You’ll have full control over your availability, bookings, and geographical range, ensuring the role fits seamlessly into your life.
