In this energetic role, you'll provide professional grooming services that enhance each pet's appearance and comfort, creating a positive experience for both dogs and their owners. Duties

  • Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, clipping, brushing, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
  • Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organised grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitised and well-maintained
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide advice on pet hygiene and care
  • Handle dogs safely during grooming procedures, ensuring their comfort while managing any behavioural challenges
  • Assist with animal care tasks such as feeding or basic health checks as needed
  • Lift heavy dogs safely using proper techniques to prevent injury to yourself or the animals

Requirements

  • Qualified Dog Groomer level 3
  • 2 years experience
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy dogs
  • Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards and current grooming trends
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely
  • Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours as needed in a fast-paced environment
