About Acer Gundog Training

Acer Gundog Training offers outdoor dog training in small group sessions and on an individual basis. Our clients come from all walks of life, and their dogs are either family pets or working gundogs.

Purpose of the Role

To support us in delivering the highest quality dog training in an interactive, relaxed, and sociable environment.

Initially, you will assist an experienced trainer to gain hands-on experience. As your confidence and ability grow, you will take on increasing responsibility within sessions and learn the skills required to become a competent trainer, capable of teaching the foundation levels of our gundog training programme to clients.

Experience & Qualifications

Professional dog training qualifications are not required at the outset. However, we welcome applicants with teaching or coaching experience in any field.

Experience in owning and training your own dog will be especially valuable (particularly if you have trained with Acer).

Applicants with an interest in country sports, or a countryside background, would be well suited to this role. Please note that the role involves working outdoors, throughout the year and in all weather conditions.

Our established training team members each have at least five years’ experience with Acer. We are looking for someone with long-term aspirations to develop their dog training career with us.

Benefits

  • Rate of pay to be agreed based on experience and responsibilities
  • Holiday Pay
  • Pension (subject to minimum earnings)
  • We will agree with you periodically which training courses you will host, giving you flexibility and freedom over your working dates and times

Please email your CV, including a description of your relevant work experience (as outlined above), and your telephone number.

All candidates are requested to include a brief covering letter explaining why this role appeals to them and outlining any relevant coaching or teaching experience to demonstrate suitability for the role. Applications submitted without this supporting information will not be considered.
