Duties

• Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff
• Clean and sanitize kennels, bedding, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment for all animals
• Monitor dogs’ behavior and health, reporting any concerns or unusual symptoms to veterinary professionals promptly.
• Support customer service efforts by answering questions from pet owners and providing updates on their pets’ well-being
• Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies, bedding, or large dog crates safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate records of animal care activities, including feeding schedules, health notes, and behavioral observations

Qualifications

• Experience in animal care background is preferred, but not essential.
• Strong passion for working with animals and understanding their needs
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including lifting large dog crates or supplies
• Willingness to work in a physically active environment with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Attention to detail in recording animal health information and following safety protocols
